Argument: Argument thesis  "Soul" = "Immaterial phenomenon associated with the human body"
Node type: Node supports parent assertion  This node supports its parent
Parent Node: Node refutes parent assertion  Soul has religious connotations beyond the proposed definition...
Node Text: Perhaps a re-defining of "after-life" is appropriate...

I offer no sensible argument in this node, only that, even as the body is alive, the immaterial phenomena that is associated with it, by virtue of its immaterial-ness, exists in a realm separate from the body, an "other-world", though there is no doubt it is anchored to the human frame of meat and bone. Isn't this "other-world" both immanent and transcendent of the life imbued within the body, it is after, above, before, within and outside it.
