Argument: Argument thesis  U.S. cannot withdraw from Iraq until it is stabilized
Node type: Node supports parent assertion  This node supports its parent
Parent Node: Node supports parent assertion  Impact on U.S. could be even worse
Node Text: This will force the U.S. to go all in

The U.S. economy cannot handle such a shock in oil prices without significant damage, Thus, while it is generally agreed that oil was not a (significant) reason for invading Iraq, it is also generally agreed that the stability of the Middle East overall (and thus oil prices) is a reason that we continue to stay.

The U.S. therefore will devote all necessary resources to ensure access to oil at a price that the economy can support.
