Node Text: He has very little foreign policy experience

The United States has seen the world grow more dangerous, while its own reputation and influence has decreased during the Bush administration.

Regional powers continue to grow (China, Iran, Venezuela), filling the vacuum left by the U.S. focus on Iraq.

Foreign policy experience will be the most important characteristic of the person elected as President in 2008, yet Obama's foreign policy experience is limited to the two years he has served on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
