Node Text: US Working Class Parents Can Be More Involved in Education

The children of illegal aliens may be US citizens. For example, if a child of an illegal alien is born on US soil, the child will be a United States citizen. Therefore, to the extent that the constitution guarantees a right to education whether explicitly or implicitly, these children are equally guaranteed this right to attend the US public schools.

Notwithstanding this right of the children, the parents are still illegal aliens and must go through the process to become US citizens, permanent residents, or temporary residents.

As illegal aliens, the parents may not be as involved with the decisions of the governing body of the public school system. No one will represent them on the school board or in public office. Due to their status as illegal aliens, these parents may be less forthcoming with their opinions on non-elected committees such as the PTA.

As such, if a school is made up of mostly US working class citizens and illegal aliens and the school is equally comprised of the children of each, the working class citizens will automatically hold the majority in any election on school issues. Due to the political support, money and resources will be allocated to favor the children of US citizens rather than the children of illegal aliens.
